eyes blinking

Can any of us really ever answer this question? Yeah, no. How many movies follow the journey of a high schooler discovering who they are? An infinite number, I’m sure. Now how many movies are there of 30, 40 or even 50-somethings (gasp!) figuring out who they are? Not nearly as many.

But here’s the secret – discovering who you are in your 30s is more about uncovering your true, weird, sassy self. It’s about working through hard shit, being burned by the fire and still being able to crawl out the other side. It’s about surviving. And learning what it means to be you in a way that only you can be. No one else gets to define who you are. And that looks GOOD on you.

It’s about becoming a better version of you.

And damn, don’t we all want more of that?

So if you’re not there yet, remember it gets better. And lean in. And if you’re rediscovering yourself in your 50s and 60s (as most are), make sure you’re living your true self loud enough for us to hear. The world needs it.

Reflect: Where and how is your heart pulling you to uncover, discover, or lean into these days? What area of your life needs reflection? How can you live bravely in every corner of your life?
